Lehmann company, founded in 1881 in Brandenburg, Germany by Ernst Paul Lehmann, the company is renowned for its detailed and brightly lithographed mechanical tin toys. Lehmann began to see great success in the early 20th century when its sophisticated, lightweight tin toys were recognized as innovations next to the toys of other makers.

The lithographed tin car and garage do have some light scuffs, scratches and marks, mainly to the roof and roof edges of the car, that you would associate with a played with item of this age but, the lithographed paint work, writing and decoration have retained a good colour. The garage doors are well attached and open and close well. All of the spoked wheels to the car are still well attached and turn smoothly.

The clockwork motor is not working. The car has the makers details and "765" to the running boards and back, the garage has the makers details and "771" also to the back.

The car measures 14 cm (5 1/2 inches) long and the garage measures 15 cm (6 inches) long, 8.5 cm (3 1/4 inches) wide and 9 cm (3 1/2 inches) high.
