This piece is believed to have originated in the town of Nottinghamshire, England from the Hardy's & Hanson's Brewery founded in 1832. The Hardy's & Hanson's Kimberly Ale was the beer of the first commercial brewery opened by Samuel Robinson. Hardy's and Hanson's brewers shared a friendly rivalry in Nottingham before combining in 1930. Prior to their merger, the two families purchased many restaurants and pubs throughout the city to distribute their ales. The Griffin Inn was one of the pubs purchased.

This sign measures 36.5" x 36.5" and can be suspended from chains as displayed in the photographs.
