This drake mallard duck decoy was manufactured at the Mason Decoy Factory out of Detroit, MI. This piece dates back to the late 1890s. Mason made five grades of wooden decoys, the glass eyes indicate that this is a grade three. He is in good structural condition with a few very tight body checks. He has a lead ballast weight and a metal anchor loop. This hen has a metal strap reinforcing the body and the head adding to the character of this piece.

The overall dimensions of this decoy measure 16" in length, 6" in width with a height of 7".
