What started out as a family cycle shop in Toledo, Ohio in 1898 quickly turned into a metal furniture enterprise by the early 1900s. The Uhl brothers worked wonders with metal, but as the popularity of bicycles gave way to the new horseless carriages, the Url brothers adapted into making metal furniture for commercial spaces. In 1904 they incorporated as Toledo Metal Furniture Company and spent the first half of the 1900s creating wonderful works of form and function, such as this swivel adjustable stool, classic to the 1930-1940s "machine age."
This stool measures 15.5" W x 15.5" D x 40" H.
