Thanks for checking out this amazing, vintage Burton Tri-Luminar dental lamp. This medical examination lamp mounts to the wall and has beautiful art deco styling. The lamp shades on the extendable arm are bakelite or a similar plastic, due to the 40's era styling and lack of seams - the main upright shade is metal. The lamps are articulated and incredibly poseable, providing for many different lighting options. All the pieces of the lamp are in excellent cosmetic condition, save for some slight pitting to the chrome and appropriate wear for their age. As you can see from the pictures, all the fixtures still correctly supply power to the bulbs. The flourescent fixture takes a 18" tube and it is 19" long by 3" wide. There are "Start" and "Off" buttons on the shade. It has a metal tension bar along the side for hanging and displaying X-rays. The shade marked Burton Tri-Luminar" is 10.5" wide and 9" tall. You can adjust the knob on top of the shade to mechanically dim the bulb by obscuring it from the reflector with an opaque plastic tube that moves up and down inside the fixture. There is also a second adjuster that allows you to dial in the angle of the lamp. This lamp is controlled by an on-off toggle switch. The large upright metal lamp shade is just under 13" in diameter. The wall-mount base extends 9" from the wall and is about 21" top to bottom. The first arm segment is 20" long and the second arm segment, which houses the two other lights, is 18" long. Fully extended, the lamp measures about 4 feet from the wall. The lamp weighs about 15 pounds.
