1984

Handmade bronze Canada goose statue.

This piece was designed and created by James E. Hoker, an avid carver, bird aficionado, and member of the President's Council of Ducks Unlimited, a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation of wetlands and other wildlife habitats. Like his father, Hoker is known for his detailed pieces and exhibited them in many shows during the 1980s.

The statue is constructed of solid bronze and, as such, is incredibly heavy so care should be taken when moving it. Hoker paid great attention to detail on this piece, down to the individual barbs in each feather and the color choices made to closely match natural Canada goose coloration.

Exhibits minor signs of wear including some discoloration likely from exposure to the elements.

16" W x 9" D x 23" H
