This sleek gray dental cabinet was designed by Norman Bel Geddes, likely around the 1930s. Bel Geddes (1893 - 1958) began his career as a theater set designer in 1916. Just over ten years later, his branched out professionally, and began designing items for commercial use -- everything from industrial items (including dental cabinets) to smaller home goods (e.g., cocktail shakers). His forward-thinking and revolutionary designs earned him the honor of a commemorative US postal stamp in 2011.
This cabinet features 2 drawers, as well as upper and lower storage compartments. There are two shelves in the lower storage cabinet. Unfortunately, we do not possess the key for the glass doors. The cabinet measures 64" H x 28.25" L x 17.25" W. Each drawer has an inside measurement of 14" x 21.5" x 3.75". The upper cabinet has an inside measurement 27.5" x 20.5" x 10.25".
